The mayor of La Laguna and four councilors, summoned to testify in the Laycas case

The judge instructing the so-called Laycas case has summoned the mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, and councilors Yaiza López, Alejandro Marrero, Carla Cabrera and Badel Albelo to testify as defendants.

In a ruling to which Efe has had access, the magistrate judge of the Investigating Court number 2 of La Laguna, María Celia Blanco, summons the mayor for next April 6, as well as Yaiza López, councilor for Culture and Participation Citizen.

Alejandro Marrero (Treasury and Economic Affairs) and Carla Cabrera (Markets) are scheduled for April 7, and Badel Albelo (Fiestas) for the following day.

The Laycas case stems from a complaint by the Councilor for Citizens Alfredo Gómez, who is also president of the Transparency Commission, about alleged irregularities in the granting of contracts for an amount that would be around one million euros.
