Canary Islands continues in its fight to defeat the coronavirus pandemic this March 2, the day on which 975 new infections have been reported from the Covid-19. In the last hours it has been reported the death of a 92-year-old person in Tenerife who was hospitalized and had previous pathologies.
The total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic in the Canary Islands stands at 292,922 of which 14,499 are active cases. The deceased since the start of the pandemic amount to 1,576. The healthcare pressure in hospitals continues to drop until 345 patients with Covid are counted this Wednesday, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 304 remain hospitalized on the ward, while another 14,154 people must be isolated at home. The total number of people who have overcome the disease now rises to 276,847.

Tenerife today adds 272 cases with a total of 134,202 accumulated cases and 5,997 epidemiologically active cases.
Gran Canaria It has 110,725 accumulated cases, 558 more than the previous day and 6,914 active.
Lanzarote adds 42 new cases with 19,958 accumulated and 538 epidemiologically active.
Fuerteventura it has 14,654 accumulated cases, with 29 new cases and 557 active ones.
The Palm adds 55 new positives, so it has 9,813 accumulated and 368 active.
La Gomera It has nine more new positives, so its accumulated total is 1,797 and it has 95 active cases.
The iron adds ten new cases, so it has 1,772 accumulated and its assets are 30.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands now rises to 408.19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days in 775.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
To date, a total of 3,267,745 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the Islands, of which 3,597 correspond to yesterday.
