SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, March 2. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 29-year-old woman has drowned on the beach of Hermigua, on the island of La Gomera, as reported by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center.
The events occurred on the afternoon of this Tuesday on the aforementioned beach, near the Los Prismas natural pools, in the municipality of Hermigua, and the helicopter of the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) moved to the place, which rescued the woman, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest, and transferred her to the San Sebastián de La Gomera helipad.
Once there, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) performed advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers but without success, so they could only confirm his death.
They also assisted a 28-year-old man at the scene, who at the initial moment of assistance presented erosions and mild anxiety crises, for which he was transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the Hermigua Health Center.
Civil Protection personnel who collaborated with the emergency services appeared in the area, and Maritime Rescue was also activated, while Civil Guard agents instructed the corresponding proceedings and took charge of the body.
