The National Police has reported this Monday that this past weekend “tranquility” and “normality” prevailed in the leisure areas of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna, after various disturbances occurred in the middle of the month in both cities, as massive fights and brawls.
The National Police, with the collaboration of the Local Police Corps, established different prevention devices, whose main objective has been to prevent disturbances of order from occurring in the Plaza de España in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and in the area of the quadrilateral in La Laguna, as specified in a statement.
The national police identified 125 people, carried out 20 sanction proposals for possession or consumption of narcotic substances, two for possession of dangerous instruments for the integrity of people and attended a humanitarian service.
However, the note highlights, tranquility has been the dominant situation in the leisure areas of both cities, where normalcy has reigned.
The actions have been carried out by agents of the Provincial Police Station of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, who have had the collaboration of the Local Police Corps of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and San Cristóbal de la Laguna.
