SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 28 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Nature Protection Service of the Command of Tenerife (SEPRONA) has been carrying out inspections in different farms and in one of them it has located a breeding of 14 Vietnamese pigs, an invasive exotic species for which it is necessary to have an authorization. and meet certain requirements for legal possession in an extraordinary manner.
Once the agents entered the farm and identified its owner, they found 14 Vietnamese pigs inside, as well as a mare and a pony without legal documentation, as well as other animals.
The animals were in a good state of health, although not sterilized, and they did not have the declaration of responsibility for the possession of this exotic species and registration in the register of exotic animals of the Autonomous Community, as established by Law 42/2007 of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity.
Due to the facts, the owner of the farm has been proposed for a complaint for different infractions.
