SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 28 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Public aid to face the reconstruction of La Palma after the volcanic eruption of Cumbre Vieja already reaches 300.6 million, according to the update of the latest report prepared by the Autonomous Community.
The document shows that a total of 5,545 applications have been received, of which 212 are in process and 4,484 are signed, just over 89%.
In aid for housing, 147.3 million have been mobilized, including 8.9 million in compensation for housing –at a rate of 60,000 euros per house–, more than 118 million paid by the Insurance Consortium to cover damages in 1,363 homes, 9.2 million for the purchase of 104 flats in Tazacorte, Fuencaliente and Los Llanos and 7.1 million for the acquisition of 101 modular homes.
Likewise, 65.7 million have been delivered in social aid, including 49.8 million from the employment plan that benefits 1,600 people and 9.1 million in donations received by the island’s institutions.
The report also includes a total of 48.2 million in aid for companies, the self-employed and economic sectors, with 17.7 million paid by the Insurance Consortium for 185 businesses, 13.5 million for the banana sector or 9.4 million from the tourism plan ‘La Palma Renace’.
