SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 28 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested a man and a woman aged 41 and 34 respectively, both with multiple police records, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of robbery with violence in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The events occurred at dawn on February 19 on Santa María Soledad street when an old man, a resident of a small municipality in the north of the island, was waiting for the opening of a lottery administration when a woman got into his car.
She offered to have sex in exchange for money and after repeatedly saying no, the woman’s companion appeared unexpectedly while she pulled out a knife and intimidated him.
Thus, with blows they managed to snatch more than 500 euros from the old man and fled.
The victim, due to the aggression he suffered, even lost his teeth, valued at more than 1,000 euros.
The investigators, thanks to the testimony of the victim, were able to find out the identity of the alleged perpetrators of the violent robbery, a couple who frequented the scene.
Both were arrested on February 22 in the capital of Tenerife and, after being heard in a statement at police stations, made available to the competent judicial authority.
The actions were carried out by national police officers from the National Police Station of the Northern District of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
