The plenary session of the City Council of the Villa de San Juan de la Rambla unanimously approved a proposal from the Mayor’s Office in which it requests the Government of the Canary Islands to declare the urgency of the works related to the entrance and exit of the La Rambla neighborhood, as a solution solution to the security conflict suffered by the nucleus after the insular area of Highways recently proposed a technical solution to the problem of exit and entry of vehicles and pedestrians.
As the mayor, Ezequiel Domínguez, pointed out, “this proposal originated after the meeting held with the Councilor for Roads of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Enrique Arriaga, which was also attended by two spokespersons from the neighborhood’s neighborhood commission, and in which proposed by the insular area a definitive technical solution that, despite being viable, requires prior procedures that will delay too much the beginning of some works that should already be executed, taking into account the enormous insecurity that the current situation supposes, both for the inhabitants of La Rambla, as well as for the numerous daily visitors».
For this reason, and after the approval of the entire plenary session, the City Council officially requests that the Government of the Canary Islands study the possibility of carrying out the works by the Regional Executive’s Roads area, “in order to reduce the administrative deadlines that the delegation of the same in the Island Council would entail.
“In the same way and while the aforementioned administrative procedure lasts, both the local Administration and the residents of the neighborhood request a provisional entry and exit to be carried out immediately, taking advantage of the works that the Island Council is currently carrying out in the area,” adds the mayor. of San Juan de la Rambla. Once approved in plenary, the proposal will be transferred urgently to the competent bodies of the Cabildo de Tenerife and the Government of the Canary Islands.
