The Canary Islands have recorded 2,044 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated cases in the Islands since the start of the pandemic is already 285,012, with 18,296 active, of which 45 are admitted to the ICU. and 303 remain hospitalized.
Likewise, in the last hours the death of three people between 68 and 88 years old has been reported. One of the cases was reported in Tenerife, another in Gran Canaria and another in El Hierro, although the latter is pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health. All had previous pathologies and were hospitalized.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 399.64 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 649.60 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, a total of 3,241,216 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the Islands, of which 6,802 correspond to yesterday.
By islands, Tenerife today has 824 cases, with a total of 131,129 accumulated cases and 7,299 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 106,817 accumulated cases, 965 more than the previous day, and 8,702 active cases; Lanzarote adds 89 new cases, with 19,608 accumulated and 445 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 14,457 accumulated cases, with 106 new cases and 1,379 active ones.
La Palma adds 41 new positives, so it has 9,538 accumulated and 354 active; El Hierro adds four new cases, so it has 1,735 accumulated and its assets are 20, and La Gomera adds 15 more new positives, so its accumulated is 1,727 and it has 97 active cases.
