The municipality of Santiago del Teide is in luck before the upcoming celebration of a historic event and that is that, recently, the Apostolic Penitentiary of the Holy See has granted “Jubilee Year” to the San Fernando Rey Parish -located in Santiago del Teide town- on the occasion of the celebration of the Jacobean Year and in order to grant, to all the parishioners who wish it, the Plenary Indulgences.
Thus, it is worth mentioning that the beginning of the Jubilee Year will take place on Sunday, March 13, at 12:00 p.m., and will do so with the opening of the Holy Door and the Solemn Celebration of the Eucharist, which will be presided over by Bishop Don Bernardo Álvarez, thus constituting the First Jubilee Temple on the island of Tenerife.
