SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 21 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing of a taxi driver in Plaza Weyler in Santa Cruz de Tenerife at dawn on February 16 after asking him for money.
The arrest occurred on Friday, February 18, when after investigating the agents involved in the different aspects of the events and interviewing the injured taxi driver, he identified a 26-year-old young man.
In this way, as police sources have explained to Europa Press, the man could be arrested at noon last Friday in San Cristóbal de La Laguna as the alleged perpetrator of the stabbing and the theft of about 150 euros from the taxi driver.
Likewise, during the search at the time of his arrest, they found two knives on him, although it is unknown if either of the two is the one he used in the event. The man, after being arrested and carrying out the corresponding procedures, has entered prison.
