SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 19 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Two people have been injured of varying degrees in the collision of two vehicles that occurred last morning in the municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred around 3:30 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert informing that there had been a collision between two vehicles on Chayofita Avenue, for which the Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources.
A medicalized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC), members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium, as well as agents from the Arona Local Police and the National Police, traveled to the scene.
Local Police located one of the uninjured drivers. The SUC personnel provided medical assistance to two injured people, one of them who had been trapped in the vehicle and another who fell from a height of about three meters once he was outside the vehicle. Both were then transferred to a hospital.
One of those affected, a 21-year-old man, presented moderate polycontusions at the initial moment of care. The other affected, a male for whom no further information is known, suffered a minor injury to the lower extremity.
The police services instructed the corresponding proceedings.
