The Cabildo maintains its support for beekeeping with the contribution of 92,000 euros to the sector. The island councilor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Javier Parrilla, highlights “the importance of protecting the beekeeping cabin (bees) on the Island.” He also informs that this coming Saturday will be held at the Casa de la Miel, located in El Sauzal, the VI Technical Conference of the Association of Veterinary Specialists in Beekeeping (Avespa)
This aid is aimed at beekeepers’ associations and aims to defray the costs for the acquisition of specific complementary foods for bees, rich in sugars, proteins and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) that allow them to improve their nutritional status and thus contribute to to preserve the beekeeping cabin of Tenerife.
The aid has already benefited 581 beekeepers in 2021, which translates into some 14,284 hives.
