SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 17 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, received this Thursday at the Insular Palace the ambassador of Spain in Mauritania, Miriam Álvarez de la Rosa, who is on the island on an official visit.
The meeting addressed the possibilities of establishing ways of collaboration and cooperation in the field of renewable energies, new technologies and university education.
The meeting was attended by the CEO of Foreign Action, Liskel Álvarez; the CEO of the Technological and Renewable Energy Institute (ITER), Elena Rodríguez and the general director of Economic Affairs with Africa, Nasara Cabrera Abu.
The ambassador took advantage of her stay on the island to learn about the main projects and facilities of ITER, as well as the scope of the activity of this research center.
In the same way, the importance of continuing to promote specialized university education was addressed, especially linked to energy efficiency, the integration of renewable energies and the transition towards a more sustainable model.
