Tourists and locals who were in the vicinity of the Parque La Paz hotel, in Los Cristianos (Arona), were shocked this Tuesday, February 15, after a resounding explosion in a place near the complex. As this newspaper has learned, the incident occurred around 12:54 p.m. in the kitchen of a pub after handling a gas cylinder.
As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (CECOES 1-1-2), a man was injured in the explosion, who at the initial moment of assistance presented moderate burns on his hand and forearm; and two women, with smoke inhalation poisoning and anxiety crisis.
To Luis Díaz de Losada street, where the events occurred, the toilets of the ambulances of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) traveled, who assessed and assisted those affected, although it was only necessary to transfer one of them to the center hospital when presenting burns.
The presence of firefighters was also required, who carried out the appropriate measurements and inspected the structure of the affected area. For its part, the Local Police collaborated with the resources displaced to the scene of the incident, and the National Police took charge of the corresponding proceedings.
