This will be the new urban hotel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, located in the Galerías Preciados building

At the end of the year, the Meliá chain will open its first urban hotel ‘INNSIDE by Meliá’ in Tenerife, specifically in the island’s capital, in the building that occupied the former Galerías Preciados, with a total of 83 rooms and 60 workers.

The interior design is inspired by a cosmopolitan, cozy and comfortable style, using quality and avant-garde materials.

The glazed bathroom will give the room a feeling of spaciousness and its glass facade will enjoy great views of the square and some rooms will have balconies.

The works were visited on Monday by the mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, and the Executive Vice President and CEO of Meliá, Gabriel Escarrer, who guaranteed the success of the new hotel, which is accompanied by the chain’s “commitment” to the Canary Islands and, in this case, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, “where the mayor has been fundamental for his insistence throughout all these years that he bet on his city”.

For Bermúdez, “With the arrival of this new hotel, we managed to increase the hotel capacity of Santa Cruz by 83 rooms and bring to our city a chain like Meliá, a world leader, which is going to invest in our city to create 60 work which at a time like the one we are going through is very important for us”.

The ground floor of the building will be a unique space open to the street, where the hotel lobby will be located, a cocktail bar facing the street, and the rest of the spaces will be dedicated to serving Mexican cuisine, with a design Careful and avant-garde interior.

At the back of the restaurant and in a ‘clandestine’ way, there will be a camouflaged staircase that will give access to a Jazz Bar, which to access you will have to provide a password, a space that will offer live music and shows.

On the ninth floor, the hotel roof, there will be a chill-out area with a snack-bar, a kitchen open all day, a swimming pool and a solarium.

The symbol of the hotel will be a swimming pool on this level, all glass, even on the ground, suspended and cantilevered towards the street.
