SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 14 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Local Police and Candelaria Civil Protection acted yesterday, Sunday, in the area of Punta Larga Beach after being notified of the imminent grounding of a small boat that was drifting.
It was occupied by three crew members, who were helped by the lifeguard service on the beach. Two of them were able to jump before running aground, while the skipper remained on the ship.
All are well, highlighting a slight bruise on the head of one of the crew. Given the condition of these three people, it was not necessary to activate any ambulance service.
After the grounding, to avoid a spill of gasoline, the fuel was removed from the tank and through the crane service it was possible to remove the ship and move it to La Galera.
The City Council of Candelaria thanks the personnel involved belonging to the security forces mentioned above for the haste and good management of the situation.
