SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 14 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Bishopric of Tenerife has issued a statement this Monday in which it guarantees that it has not registered any property in the registry “of which it is not certain that it is its legitimate owner.”
Thus, he points out that the Church “does not want to dispose of assets that do not belong to her” and specifies that those she disposes of “are always at the service of society, since their purpose is always to celebrate and announce the faith, as well as to promote and support charitable-social works”.
In addition, he points out that the last report published by the Episcopal Conference that includes the registration of 32 real estate without being certain that they belong to him “has been an unfortunate
error” for what they see “opportune” to publish the concrete identity
of each of these assets “in order to avoid completely inappropriate interpretations and accusations”.
The Bishopric points out that it remains “available to provide information” and collaborate with any natural or legal person who “feels more entitled” to any of the assets that have been registered.
