A woman with mental health problems will be tried next week in the Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife accused of a crime of attempted murder for running over his aunt and pinning her against a wall, and then running over her with his vehicle.
The Prosecutor’s Office requests that the defendant be interned in a Psychiatric Center for a period of ten years, considering that the circumstance that exempts completely from anomaly or psychic alteration is applicable.
The public prosecution considers that at the time of the events had delusional disorderhaving intelligence and will nullified or severely reduced.
As stated in the qualification document, the defendant attacked her aunt on the driveway to their homes, in Tacoronte (Tenerife).
He rammed her car into a wall and, when her aunt was lying on the ground, ran over her legs and drove away.
The victim suffered numerous injuries that required two surgeries.
She spent eleven days in the ICU and another 85 hospitalized, and as consequences she has been left with the need to use crutches, multiple pains and scars.
In addition to hospitalization for psychiatric treatmentthe prosecutor requests for the accused the deprivation of the right to drive motor vehicles and mopeds for ten years and a restraining order with respect to the victim for the same period.
