Concern for the health of a homeless person who refuses help. Fran Palero

Among the concerns that have surfaced through the survey of the La Arboleda Neighborhood Association there is that of businessmen and neighbors about a homeless person living on the streets of the neighborhood of Salamanca. As stated in the text that they have already presented in the Tagoror of the Central-Ifara District, “they are moved by a homeless person, always drunk, who performs his needs on public roads, but never messes with the neighbors.

She suffers from a disease whose two legs are swollen with pus and blood. He eats a lousy diet, with a poor state of hygiene and health (he does not wear a mask), spending the night on the floor of doorways on cardboard, poorly sheltered.

“They add that he suffers from a very advanced physical and psychological deterioration, for which he may lose both his legs. He repeatedly refuses all kinds of help.” Faced with this situation, they propose “carrying out a signature campaign, so that a court, through a medical report, corroborates the diagnosis corresponding to the indigent, the non-voluntary temporary admission to a center where he could be adequately cared for until he recovers his health, detox from alcohol and achieve social integration again. Social Affairs would be in charge of protecting him while he is incapacitated”.

As DIARIO DE AVISOS has learned, social services are already working on obtaining a report from the court in order to adequately attend to this person.
