SAN SEBASTIAN DE LA GOMERA, Feb. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 58-year-old man has been moderately injured after suffering a fall in an area of cliffs in San Sebastián de La Gomera, as reported by the Canary Islands 112 Emergency and Security Coordination Center.
The events occurred around 10:11 p.m. this Sunday and different rescue personnel traveled to the scene, although it had to be the members of the Helimer Maritime Rescue helicopter who evacuated the wounded man, who was transferred to Tenerife airport South.
Once on land, the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) verified that the affected person had a moderate knee injury, except for complications, for which he was transferred by basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Hospital Universitario Hospiten Sur.
Members of CECOPIN and Civil Protection also participated in this incident, as well as a doctor and a nurse from the Playa Santiago Health Center, as well as firefighters from Valle Gran Rey and Civil Guard agents.
