A cumbersome multiple collision on the TF-1 paralyzes part of the highway



The Emergency and Security Coordination Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (CECOES 1-1-2) has reported a multiple accident on the TF-1, at the height of Güímar and in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which has left long delays and a moderate wound.

The events occurred around 11:35 a.m. on Monday, February 14, and agents from the Tenerife Cabildo Road Conservation Service and the Civil Guard moved to the scene, who have been able to regulate traffic, as well as firefighters and personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).

The members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium secured the damaged vehicles and freed the occupant of one of them from inside the passenger compartment. The man was quickly treated by the SUC toilets who assessed and assisted the affected person, who was transferred by sanitary ambulance to the Candelaria hospital.

For its part, the Civil Guard regulated the traffic on the road, in which significant retentions were recorded and it was necessary to divert traffic to the TF-28 and TF-616 roads, and carried out the corresponding report.

Personnel from the Highway Maintenance Service carried out cleaning tasks on the road and collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources.
