The Second Vice President and Minister of the Presidency, Finance and Modernization of the Council of Tenerife, Berta Perez (PSOE)defends the management of island government in the face of criticism from CC-PNC and ensures that, according to provisional budget execution data, the year 2021 closed with the largest investment of public resources in the last five years. According to the data provided, «713,323,721 euros were invested in public policiesthose that directly affect citizens.

An amount that, as he adds, «represents 82.1 million euros more than in 2018, the last full year chaired by CC, which places 2021 as the year in which the most resources have been executed in the last five years. Likewise, it details that practically all of the expenditure executed by the council during the past year it was allocated to public policies and only 0.08% to pay the debt, 607,015 euros. “Otherwise, the previous insular government presided over by DC allocated in 2018 a total of 78.9 million euros to pay bank loans, which represents 11.1% of the total budget executed that year.

The island administration only allocated 0.08% of the budget in 2021 to the payment of bank debt

Bertha Perez He adds that the budgets for this year 2022 “have already entered into force on January 31, 2021, which allows us to promote the main projects that we have in the Cabildo de Tenerife, both directly executed and in collaboration with the municipalities of the island ».
