The meeting is expected to be attended by the sub-delegate of the Government in the Canary Islands, Javier Plata, and the commanders of the Local Police, the Canary Islands Police, the National Police and the Civil Guard, among others, the La Laguna City Council reported this Sunday in a statement.

The meeting takes place in order to increase the surveillance device and stop incidents such as those that occurred on Saturday night in the Quadrilateral area.

The City Council also indicates that the recordings of the security cameras installed on public roads will be reviewed to take the appropriate measures against the people who caused the altercations.

Alejandro Marrero recalls that last October the security measures applied to prevent the consumption of alcohol in the street and guarantee normality in the area “gave very good results”.

“We are going to demand that coordination be redoubled by all public order forces and increase the police presence to prevent a situation like the one we had to face at the beginning of the course in the Quadrilateral and other nightlife venues. and guarantee compliance with the established regulations that allow the right to leisure to be combined with neighborhood rest”, added Marrero.
