The Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government has provisionally accounted for 872 new cases of coronavirus in the archipelago in the last hours, in which the death of twelve people has also been reported.
The total accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 270,567 with 105,646 active, of which 72 are admitted to the ICU and 483 remain hospitalized, The Ministry of Health reported this Saturday in a statement.
In the last few hours, it has been reported death of 12 people: seven in Gran Canaria, three in Tenerife, one in Fuerteventura and one in La Palma, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 249.36 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 584.39 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife today has 382 cases with a total of 125,395 accumulated cases and 49,207 epidemiologically active cases; Y Gran Canaria has 100,565 accumulated cases, 352 more than the previous day 47,172 active.
For its part, Lanzarote adds 44 new cases with 18,867 accumulated and 1,378 epidemiologically active and Fuerteventura has 13,425 accumulated cases, with 25 new cases and 7,195 active.
In turn, La Palma adds 58 new positives, so it has 9,016 accumulated and 484 active, El Hierro adds two new positives, so its accumulated is 1,682 and has 97 active cases, and La Gomera has nine new cases, so it has 1,617 accumulated and its assets are 113.
To date, a total of 3,174,809 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 6,672 correspond to yesterday.
The Ministry of Health recalls that these data published today on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams.
In this way, the dynamics of the Alert and Emergency Coordination Center are followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
