professionals of the Civil Guard specialized in deactivation of explosives concluded the search in the dependencies of the Isaac de Vega school, in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, without finding any explosive device. The activation of an entire security device was due to the fact that a person called the center with the aim of “boycotting” the vaccination campaign against covid-19 in the population from five to eleven years. And it is that a “vacuguagua” was outside the educational center.

The Isaac de Vega school is located to the east of the important population center of San Isidro, in the La Jurada urbanization, together with other educational centers, such as the La Jurada infant and primary education center and the Magallanes secondary school (IES). .

The message of the anti-vaccines to a Canarian school: “We have put a bomb so that they do not vaccinate our children”

The fact that no bomb appeared inside the building was confirmed in statements sent to the media by the Territorial Director of Education for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Federico Delgado, who censors this “totally unjustified” action, which “alters the life of the center” and of the students, and their familiesin addition to teachers and other workers.

Federico Delgado details that during the intervention of the security forces and bodies, the 430 students from the center were evicted to the nearest school “to maintain their safety and tranquility”, and adds that the bomb warning produced “nervousness and anxiety” in the community educational.

The Territorial Director of Education in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife guarantees, moreover, that the Ministry of Education “is fully committed to moving forward with the responsibility that corresponds to it.”

Statement from the educational center of San Isidro

The Civil Guard deployed agents from the citizen security unit of the main post in Granadilla de Abona and from the Specialized Group for the Deactivation of Explosives (Gedex), who were in charge of carrying out the checks and cordoned off the educational center.

Agents from the Granadilla Local Police and the councilor responsible for the Security area also attended the scene.Candelaria González, to collaborate in the tasks of preventing incidents and reorganizing road traffic.

In a statement from the center sent to the families, it is indicated that the person who made the call literally said: “We have put a bomb so that they do not vaccinate our children.”

Sources from the Ministry of Education point out to Efe that an association opposed to vaccination against covid-19 has been sending several letters to the Ministry and to some educational centers, even before the plans to administer the doses in educational centers were known.

On Friday of last week, the General Corps of the Canarian Police (CGPC) arrested a woman in San Matías (Taco). At first, she rebuked the agents with the argument that minors should not be vaccinated. After approaching a member of the Autonomous Police without a mask, he reported her. After a moment of tension, the person involved came to bite the official. And on the same day another woman was denounced in Tíncer for not wearing a mask and recording the police action.
