HiperDino, the leading chain in the food sector in the Canary Islands and the only 100% Canarian regional chain, has obtained the commercial quality seal granted by AENOR, recognizing excellence in all the services it offers. It is the only supermarket chain in the Canary Islands that has this certification.
HiperDino’s Quality Director, Margarita Cejas, received this recognition from the hands of AENOR’s Director in the Canary Islands, Javier Lantigua, and symbolically placed the seal at the entrance of one of its stores, located in the municipality of Arucas, in Gran Canaria.
For Margarita Cejas “continuous improvement and customer satisfaction are not only the main objectives of her Department, but also those of the entire company, working day by day to achieve excellence in all our services.” She also had words of gratitude for the store staff, “who have been involved from the first moment to learn about the project and carry it out successfully.”
For his part, the director of AENOR in the Canary Islands, Javier Lantigua, commented that “obtaining this seal is palpable proof of HiperDino’s commitment to the quality of the service it provides to its customers and its desire for continuous improvement to thus reinforce its competitiveness”.
It was in 2021 when this project started within the company, based on the UNE 175001 Commercial Quality standard, an effective tool to reinforce the competitiveness of the trade with the participation of the store teams.
Among the strengths highlighted by AENOR are the organization’s commitment to continuous improvement in service quality; the works that are being carried out in the centers, and the online training platform used to keep food hygiene training updated.
At the same time, he highlighted the involvement of the staff and the good results obtained during the visit of the mystery customer, at which time an AENOR auditor visits the establishment by surprise, posing as a customer, to carry out the verification of the standard and the established procedures.
The HiperDino Quality Department has set itself the goal of maintaining this seal over time, giving the project a character of continuity.
