Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium assigned to the park of Icod of the Wines intervened to suffocate the fire recorded in a dragon tree located in the Plaza Manuel Cabrera, in the historic center of said municipality in the North of Tenerife.

They also came to the place agents of the Local Police of Icod de los Vinos, as well as civil guards of the main post of the town.
Based on the images, the flames affected the lower part of the trunk and, for now, the damage it will generate in said specimen is unknown.
This is not the first time that an individual has tried to carry out an environmental and patrimonial attack of these characteristics. In 2008, an individual tried to burn the Drago Milenario de Icodthe best known and most photographed by residents and tourists for decades.
