A helicopter from Maritime Rescue rescued on Monday night a man of foreign origin who was isolated in an area of difficult access on the Montaña Roja trailin the municipality of Passion fruit.
The events occurred after 9:00 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert from a foreigner asking for help because he was on a path near the coast of Montaña Roja, in a place of difficult access and with danger of falling on the rocksfrom which he could not get out on his own.
The firefighters who traveled to the place located the area where the affected person was and, upon verifying that it was an inaccessible place, requested the collaboration of the Maritime Rescue Helimer who finally rescued the affected person from the cliff and transferred him unharmed to the Tenerife Sur airport.
