The amphibious aircraft carrier (LHD) ‘Juan Carlos I’ has been seen this morning in the bay of Las Palmas. Accompanied by the frigate ‘Santa María’, which was diverted to the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, they departed from the port of Rota (Cádiz) bound for La Palma, where they will recover andhe Naval Beach Group detachment, consisting of three LCM-1E boats that have remained on the island since last November 13 on the occasion of the eruption of the volcano in Cumbre Vieja.
The aircraft carrier carried out training maneuvers with Navy and Air Force units on Monday morning. She will spend the night at the Arsenal in Las Palmas and tomorrow the 8th she will continue with the exercises.
