The Employment and Local Development Agency (AEDL) renews its commitment to Barrios por el Empleo, a project that offers comprehensive support to people with difficulties in accessing the labor market. Likewise, Factoría Social is inaugurated, a new placement agency, accredited by the Canary Islands Employment Service.
Barrios por el Empleo individually assists and guides job seekers and provides training adapted to each participant and to the professional profiles demanded by surrounding companies. The support does not end when a job is found, but follows up to provide the help that is required.
Factoría Social facilitates access to job offers and advises on job interviews. Its director, Begoña León, and its coordinator, Ana María Miranda, held a meeting with Councilor Lot García, to whom they announced the start-up of this project that promotes employability in the area.
The municipal government understands that these are two resources that make the service more accessible to the unemployed in San Miguel. Both initiatives are located in the SAC of Las Chafiras.
