SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 6 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Two women have been injured when a vehicle fell from a bridge on the North Highway (TF-5), as it passes through the municipality of La Orotava, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1 -1-2.
The wounds are an 86-year-old woman, who at the initial moment of assistance presented various serious injuries, and a 30-year-old woman, who also suffered various injuries, although of a moderate nature.
The event occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert informing that a car had fallen from a bridge onto the TF-5, at the height of the roundabout of San Jerónimo, and that several people were injured.
Personnel from a Non-Emergency Health Transport (TSNU) ambulance that was in the area made the first assessment of the injured and informed 1-1-2 that there were people trapped inside the vehicle.
Members of the Firefighters Consortium freed the two injured who were trapped inside the car and secured the area with emergency vehicles until the arrival of the Civil Guard.
The SUC staff assessed and assisted the occupants of the vehicle and transferred the two injured women to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias. One man was uninjured in the accident.
The Civil Guard finished securing the area, regulated traffic and instructed the corresponding proceedings. The Insular Highway Center proceeded to clean the road.
