The plenary of Municipality of El Rosario agreed on start of the new General Planning Plan (PGO) of the municipality as the main item on the agenda. The drafting of the document was awarded for 673,000 euros and the term to have the future PGO, which replaces the subsidiary regulations of 1991, is five years. It went ahead with the votes in favor of the local government (9) and the abstention of the opposition mayors (5).
The spokeswoman for the Initiative for El Rosario-Greens (IR-Greens), Sara Cabello, detailed the importance of the agreement so that the new planning can start. She specified that the new document will establish the planning criteria, the growth objectives and the general planning solutions“always betting on a municipality designed for some 25,000 inhabitants, with responsible land consumption and giving value to agricultural areas”.

In addition, the modification of the Organic Regulation of Citizen Participation and Transparency of El Rosario went ahead, after dismissing the allegations presented. It was approved with the favorable vote of the local pact and the negative vote of the opposition groups.
In the motions section it was rrejected the socialist proposal to carry out an institutional recognition of different groups for their work during the pandemic. The text proposed approving an extra bonus for workers, something that is not possible, according to the IR-Greens spokesperson, Sara Cabello, who indicated that the basic and complementary remuneration of officials are already assessed in the Basic Statute of Public Employees. . “In addition, there are already productivity bonuses for civil servants and workers, which, precisely, many workers charged for their special dedication during the pandemic,” collects the note sent yesterday by the Rosario City Council.
