The extraordinary plenary session held yesterday at the request of the opposition groups allowed knowing the state of execution of the DUSI Anaga funds. According to the Councilor for Finance, Juan José Martínez, so far, 20% of the total has been executed, which is about 17 million. The mayor also defended that in the two years remaining to complete its execution, since Martínez assured that they have until December 2023 to do so, the rest of the money will be executed. “We have awarded or tendered up to 72% of the funds, so in the first quarter of 2023 we hope to have 100% already executed,” defended Martínez.
Faced with this statement, the opposition questioned that “what they have not done in five years, because we remember that it was granted in 2017, they will do in two,” said the former socialist mayor, Patricia Hernández.
The PSOE demanded an official document ratifying that the execution period ends in December 2023, “if it is not delivered to us, we will not accept this plenary session and we will go where necessary to defend our rights,” said Hernández.
