SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 4 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested a 46-year-old man, with a police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft by stealing effects from the house in which he carried out painting work.
The investigators of the National Police learned, through the complaint made by the owners of the house, of the theft of a large number of objects from the house. Items such as taps, kitchen appliances or a shower column were among those stolen.
Those affected were suspicious of the handyman they had recently hired, since they had noticed that objects were missing since he had started painting in the house.
The agents, after investigating the main suspect, found out that, apparently, he was gradually taking the effects from inside the house to sell them to third parties.
The investigators, once the necessary evidence had been gathered, proceeded to arrest the handyman, placing him at the disposal of the competent judicial authority. Thanks to police action, effects worth 2,000 euros have been recovered and have been delivered to their rightful owners.
The investigation is still open and it is not ruled out that new victims of similar events may appear. The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the Investigation Group of the National Police Station of the Southern District of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
