SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 3 (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Government Council of the Canary Islands authorized today, Thursday, the signing of an agreement between the Canary Islands Tax Agency (ATC) and the Gomeran City Council of Hermigua for the provision of the executive collection service for tax and non-tax debts.
In this way, the Agency will be responsible for collecting what is owed to the City Council through executive channels, which will allow the service to be centralized in a single administration in a more orderly and efficient manner, favoring more efficient management and avoiding the duplication of collection bodies, while the Tax Agency has the necessary technical instruments, organization and experience to carry it out.
The agreement, like others that have been signed of the same nature, regulates the collection procedure and establishes the functions of the Tax Agency and the Hermigua City Council.
The City Council must pay a monthly amount to the Agency for the service, which will be determined by the cost of starting the management (three euros for each debt charged) and the cost of management carried out, to be calculated based on the type of operation.
