SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Feb. 3 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Aena, within the Acoustic Insulation Plan for Tenerife North Airport-City of La Laguna, has completed the acoustic insulation works in 1,099 homes (1,099 in La Laguna, 40 in Tacoronte and 50 in Tegueste) and is in the execution phase of others 17.
The entity has reported, at the Plan monitoring meeting that was held today, on the progress derived from the soundproofing actions carried out in buildings around the aerodrome.
The meeting was attended, electronically, by representatives of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITER), the Cabildo de Tenerife and the municipalities of La Laguna and Tegueste.
The meeting discussed these and other developments such as the inclusion in the Acoustic Insulation Plan of ten new homes that have proven that they meet the requirements and in which acoustic measurements will be carried out and the request for another 39, pending to provide all the documentation.
It has also reported the finding in six more homes, where these measurements have already been made, the need to carry out the relevant soundproofing actions, which implies carrying out the corresponding projects and budgets.
In this sense, it was stressed that there are another five homes under study, which are pending the acceptance of the neighbors, anticipating that as soon as they have their approval, their acoustic insulation actions will be launched.
To date, a total of 1,517 applications have been received, which is why Aena recalls that there is still a significant number of residents who, having the right to request this type of action, have not yet done so.
