I have been inclined to dedicate some letters to this great friend for a long time, but the sadness of knowing his delicate state of health on a daily basis made it very difficult for me to carry it out.
When I Say a great friend is more than justified after having enjoyed that admirable friendship for more than seventy years, uninterrupted and maintaining contact with him and with Pepa, his wife, practically on a day-to-day basis.
We have practiced sports together since we were very young, especially tennis, where we were a doubles couple for many years. What a wonderful partner. He was Captain of our team during the twelve years we played against Tenerife, and in the end the Trophy was obtained for our Club.
In his previous time he practiced the Yacht and Sailing, becoming a mainstay of the competitions in the Yacht Club, as well as an expert when studying the merchant marine career.
What to say about Golf? It has been his passion for many yearsnot only by practicing it at a spectacular level, but also by dedicating hours and hours to our beloved club, as a manager and especially as Field Captain.
I understand that, if he hasn’t won all the club’s trophies, he hasn’t lacked much. In this difficult sport he always demonstrated his mettle, serenity and skill, apart from his chivalry.
How many trips did the two couples make together! How wonderful to know how to be, of perfect coexistence that made us enjoy every moment, thanks to that special character from which we were able to learn so much.
For me its main characteristic was NOBILITY. It is that it came out of his pores, with a naturalness that instilled peace in everyone, starting with his stupendous and exemplary Family, with Pepita Dominguez directing the orchestra and his four magnificent children marking the step as God intended.
With these qualities he has given his soul to the Lord, calm, without fuss and in the certainty of being received with the joy of good and NOBLE people.
