The Health and Quality of Life area joins the celebration of World Cancer Day, which will take place on Friday. “The objective is to make visible and support the people affected by this disease,” argued Amada Trujillo, the councilor. During the nights of Thursday and Friday, the façade of the Town Hall and the surroundings of the Plaza de España will be illuminated in green, and a canvas commemorating this day will be hung on the main door of the Town Hall.
From 10:00 a.m. on Friday, in addition, on the steps of the Convent of Adeje, the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) will set up an information table to promote the campaign “We are not all the same against cancer.” With this activity, the association aims to raise awareness about inequalities in relation to cancer and publicize the agreement to fight against these differences.
