
The area ofand Cabildo roads of Tenerife begins this Monday the works for the superficial rehabilitation of the pavement of the TF-21 as it passes through the municipalities of Santa Úrsula and La Orotava.
According to the Island Corporation, specifically, action will be taken between kilometer points 0 and 4.7, where there is an important commercial artery for both municipalities in the north of the island.
The first vice-president and councilor for Highways, Enrique Arriaga, explained that “the action contemplates the paving of a stretch of almost five kilometers, the execution of defense elements, the improvement of pedestrian zones, the conditioning of bus stops and the ordering of roadsides”.
For his part, the insular director of Roads, Tomás Félix García, indicated that they are working in a coordinated manner with the two municipalities and adds that “in order to carry out the project it is necessary, in La Orotava, to move several trees that will be transplanted in the location indicated by the local Corporation. While in the municipality of Santa Úrsula no specimen will be affected.
The area to be rehabilitated is used by an average of 11,000 vehicles and is one of the areas with the highest traffic density on this island road. Some works that are estimated to be completed within five months
