The presence of sheets of ice and sleet on the road has motivated the Cabildo de Tenerife to cut off the access roads to the National Park from kilometer 24 (Ramón Caminero) to kilometer 47 (Parador del Teide).

On the other hand, a significant accumulation of snow has also been reported in Izaña and on the summits of La Palma. In fact, the environment of the Roque de Los Muchachos, located at more than 2,400 meters of altitude, in the municipality of Garafía, has woken up this Wednesday with an icy layer and with temperatures below zero degrees.

As reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the minimum temperatures would not change this day and the maximum a slight decrease, being more significant in the midlands and summits, and the thermometers will oscillate between the maximum 20 degrees in Tenerife and the 12 degrees minimum on the island of El Hierro.

The wind will blow from the northeast light to moderate, more intense on the northwest and southeast slopes. There will be breezes on the southwest coast and, on the summits, a light to moderate north wind, less intense in the central hours.
