The University of La Laguna has published today Tuesday a resolution on the exam period for those students affected by coronavirus. The text has been signed by the Vice Presidents for Students and Employability and Teaching Innovation and Quality.
The resolution has already been published in the section on this matter on the main page of the institutional website, as well as in the Official Gazette of the academic center, while it has been sent to all students and teachers of the Institution.
In general, the period of official examinations of the January call is maintained, as well as the closing date for the delivery of minutes, according to the provisions of the 2021/22 academic calendar. In the case of students who are in a situation of home isolation after a situation of contagion by covid-19, they may be examined in the second call.
The instruction makes explicit that if the student persists in isolation during this second call, the teaching staff responsible for the subject will summon him or her to take the exam on a new date, outside the official exam period for the January call. In any case, he adds, the review procedure and deadlines set forth in article 16 of the Evaluation and Qualification Regulations of the University of La Laguna will be respected.
In addition, and in order to respect the deadline for closing the records, the students who are examined after February 9 will appear in the record with a ‘Not Presented (NP)’, in such a way that, once examined, their grade will be transferred to the minutes through the rectification procedure provided for this purpose, and also regulated in the aforementioned regulation, in this case in article 24.
