The Civil Guard investigates 10 people from Tenerife for internet crimes

The Civil Guard cybercrime prevention and response teams began their activity in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife on November 15 and since then they have been investigating ten people for possible crimes committed online.

The Civil Guard has informed this Tuesday of these investigations and, in a statement, recalls that prevention is the most effective measure to avoid crime, especially in online purchases. To do this, it asks that you avoid entering pages that are not trustworthy, as well as not entering them through redirects from other pages.

It also insists that you do not answer or enter links that ask for bank or personal information, as well as keep the software of the device used to navigate and make purchases, updated, in addition to not connecting to open networks.

The Civil Guard says that stores that offer prices well below the market price should be suspected, and rule out the purchase if they only offer a credit card or bank transfer as a means of payment.
