SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 23 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 30-year-old man was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred last night in the municipality of Frontera, on the island of El Hierro, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert reporting a three-vehicle collision on the HI-5, at the intersection with Calle Los Streams, next to the Plaza de Los Mocanes.
After being activated by the Cecoes, a basic life support ambulance and another medicalized ambulance from the SUC, a doctor and a nurse from the Health Center in the area and Civil Guard agents traveled to the scene.
Staff from the SUC and the Health Center assessed the occupants of the vehicles and assisted the driver of one of them, who had serious injuries. Once stabilized, he was transferred to the hospital after presenting a severe head injury.
Cecopin also received notice of the accident and sent to the highway service. The Civil Guard carried out the corresponding procedures.
