SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife has received this Friday the favorable sentence on the dismissal of the previous manager of Mercatenerife, José Ramón Díaz, filed against the sentence issued in September 2020.

The documentation received by the insular corporation ratifies the dismissal sentence issued at the time and through which the Cabildo de Tenerife won the lawsuit for the dismissal of the previous manager of the Mercatenerife that occurred in October 2019 due to irregularities in management found after the arrival of the new island government team.

At the time, the sentence explained that the dismissal letter was based on the loss of confidence due to the abuse of their functions in the execution of the access work to Mercatenerife for having exceeded the agreed budget by 68% without informing the body of it. of administration, and making installment payments of less than the 42,000 euros daily limit that the manager had, and the second for not having deposited the company’s annual accounts since 2017.

The notification received on this matter indicates that the appeal filed by José Ramón Díaz Polegre, against Judgment 274/2020, of September 22, of the Social Court Number 1 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in its cars of Dismissal 1087/2019, on disciplinary dismissal, which is confirmed in all its extremes, details the Cabildo in a note.
