Ratified the disciplinary dismissal in 2019 of the manager of Mercatenerife



The Cabildo de Tenerife has received this Friday a sentence that ratifies the dismissal of the previous manager of Mercatenerife, José Ramón Díaz, which occurred in October 2019 due to the irregularities in the management that the new government group detected in the island corporation after the departure from the Canarian Coalition, with Carlos Alonso as president, after the elections held that year.

As reported this Friday by the Tenerife Cabildo, the documentation received ratifies the dismissal sentence issued in September 2020 and through which the island corporation won the lawsuit for the dismissal of the previous manager of the Mercatenerife.

In the 2020 ruling it was explained that the dismissal letter was based on the loss of trust due to the abuse of their functions in the execution of the access work to Mercatenerife, since the agreed budget was exceeded by 68% without reporting it. to the administrative body.

In addition, the Cabildo continues, installment payments were made of less than the 42,000 euros daily limit that the manager had, who also did not deposit the company’s annual accounts since 2017.

The notification received on this matter indicates that the appeal filed by José Ramón Díaz against the aforementioned ruling issued in September 2020 by the Social Court number 1 of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in relation to his dismissal is dismissed in its entirety. disciplinary, which is confirmed in all its extremes.
