The City Council of Santiago del Teide organizes the VIII edition of the Líricas del Almendro 2022 contest, integrated into the programming of the Almendros en Flor campaign. The presentation period will end on March 11, at 2:00 p.m.; emphasizing that it is aimed at students from 3rd to 6th grade of Primary and from 1st to 4th of ESO of the schools of the municipality.
With the almond tree in bloom as a theme, the objective is to make it known as part of the natural environment of Santiago del Teide. The modality of the contest will be the haiku, a poetic stanza originating from classical Japanese literature that aims to express, in just three verses, a brief, sincere feeling that arises from the contemplation of nature.
In total, the appointed jury will choose eight winners, two for each of the participating levels. The jury’s decision will be announced on April 8, according to the organization.
