The access road to Tierra del Trigo, in Los Silos, will remain closed to traffic for works from today, January 20, 2022, until the end of next March, according to the City Council of this municipality on Isla Baja. The Urban Planning area indicates that the works corresponding to the rehabilitation project of the pavement and of several sections of walls of the Camino Real between the TF-42 and Tierra del Trigo, financed by the Cabildo de Tenerife, will force the total closure of the road to traffic filmed until the completion of the work, “although access to authorized vehicles and emergency services will be allowed.”
The owners of homes or farms in the section of road that is the object of the works must request an authorization to access their property through the general registry of the City Council. They must provide vehicle registration, national identity document of the interested party and a contact telephone number.
People who usually used this route to travel to municipalities in the south of the island will have to choose alternative routes for these two months through the Las Cruces and San Pedro roads, in the neighboring municipality of Garachico.
