The City Council presents the XXV edition of the Almendro en Flor Photography Contest 2022

The City Council of Santiago del Teide announces that from February 14 to 25 of that month, at 2:30 p.m., the period for sending in digital format the photographic works that will compete in the XXV Almond Tree Photography Contest in Flor 2022, which can be attended by all people over the age of 18 of any nationality and country of residence.

The theme must be about the “Almond Blossom” being for this mandatory that the place of the photograph is in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. In addition to this, the applicant photographs must be submitted in digital format through the web application lopillo.es, where the requested personal documentation and the photograph/s will be uploaded in PDF format, high resolution with a minimum of 300 pixels and measurements of 60.5cm x 50cm.

Regarding the mode of presentation, each author may present a maximum of 2 works, and all this taking into account that the image file sent must have a title or motto and the place where the photograph was taken. Likewise, and attached to said email, the participant must send a file in PDF format inside which the personal data of the author will appear (name, surnames, age, DNI/NIE, nationality, address, telephone and , if applicable, email address). It will be in the title of the file in PDF format where the same motto used in the work must appear reflected.

It should be noted that, as in the previous edition, all those who compete through a photograph taken by means of a foreground, Later, a panoramic image of the place in Santiago del Teide where the photograph was taken will be required as proof.

The aspiring works that duly comply with the requirements established in these bases will be published, accompanied by their corresponding motto or title, on the social networks of the consistory.

As for the jury, it will be made up of a President and will have two members -people related and qualified in the art of photography-, acting as secretary of the jury, without voice or vote, a technician from the Department of Culture.

Likewise, and once all the competing works have been published on the social networks of the consistory, the jury will carry out a screening process, which will take place on March 3rd, selecting those works that they consider to be of higher quality and artistic richness so that these, in turn, proceed to the last phase of the contest. It should be noted that these selected works will be those that are materialized by the City Council to later be exhibited in the Fisherman’s Museumfrom March 18th; thus ensuring the same printing process, quality, dimension and format in each of them.

The jury’s verdict will take place on the day April 1stat Fisherman’s Museum, where the works selected in the previous process will be exhibited, although the ruling will be communicated through a press release and municipal website. In addition, the winners of the contest will be notified by telephone.

The prizes that will be awarded are as follows:

FIRST PRIZE………………………… €300.00

SECOND PRIZE………………………… €200.00

THIRD PRIZE………………………… €150.00

SPECIAL PRIZE (CLOSE UP)…………………… €100.00

Likewise, and as in previous years, no more than one prize may be awarded to the same author, bearing in mind that the first prize may not be awarded to whoever obtained it in the previous edition and the winning photograph will be the poster of the subsequent edition of the contest.
