Firefighters consider the fire in a scrapyard in Granadilla to be under control

The firefighters of the Tenerife Consortium reported a few minutes ago that the fire declared this Tuesday in a vehicle scrapyard in Granadilla and in which four people have been affected is already controlled.

However, the agents have transferred that Perimeter surveillance will continue. of the fire during the night in order to avoid reactivation.

Numerous extinguishing resources have been coordinated in this fire, such as six urban pumps, three mother vehicles, a GES helicopter, two Command and Control units and a Personnel and Cargo unit.

Likewise, caution is requested to people who are in the area and they are asked to facilitate access to emergency personnel and the Tenerife Fire Department.

Four people, a facility worker and three firefighters, have had to be treated by the Canary Emergency Service due to fume inhalation.
